Iamknowone is a U.S. Army veteran and a pioneering figure in Baltimore club music—a role formally recognized by the mayor of Baltimore for his contributions to the genre's creation and development. Drawing on the discipline of military service and the raw energy of the city's underground scene, he pens gritty, unflinching poetry that captures life on the margins. He is the author of two self-published poetry collections and continues to write from the heart of the city that shaped him.
